Aderanti Adepoju is currently Chief Executive of the Human Resources Development Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, and a Coordinator of the Network of Migration Research on Africa (NOMRA).
He has previously been the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Lagos, a Regional Adviser on Labour and Population Policy at the International Labour Organisation (ILO); Chief Technical Adviser at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the University of Swaziland. He was also a United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Coordinator, Population and Human Resources Development in Africa. He is a member of: the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP); the Hague Process on Refugee and Migration Policy; and the Population Association of Nigeria. He currently undertakes research and consultancy assignments on migration and regional integration in Africa for a variety of development partners and governments. He has also authored many books and journal articles on internal and international migration in Africa.
